Do you use children in your shows?
We are an adult group; however, we often have high school students in our ensembles.  When the show calls for a youngster, we have usually used the children of cast members.

Why are your ticket prices so inexpensive?
Our mission has been to bring traditional musical theater to Gwinnett and we don't want to present any barriers to the whole family enjoying our productions.   We are cheaper than a movie, cheaper than getting a baby-sitter.

Why have you only produced musicals?
Musicals have always been crowd pleasers; the familiarity of the tunes of composers such as Rogers and Hammerstein and Cole Porter are an endless source of enjoyment.  Musicals also call for a large cast which give more people an opportunity to participate on stage.

Are the same people always in the shows?
We have loyal ACT performers that have been with us since "Fiddler on the Roof," our first adult show, as well as newcomers to our company each year.

Do you have to have stage experience in order to audition?
No!!  We always have one or two people come out that have never been on stage before.  I believe there is an undiscovered ham in almost all of us!

Why do you only produce one show per year?
Our shows demand an enormous commitment from all involved; not only the actors and musicians, but the unsung heroes constructing sets, making costumes, selling tickets, publicizing the performances.  And in our group, most of the behind-the-scenes people are also on stage!  "THE SHOW" becomes the focus of two months of our lives.  At the end of this time, we reintroduce ourselves to our families, friends, and bosses and try to get back to "real life."  Until our membership grows and we have more workers willing to take on some of the demanding tasks, we will throw ourselves whole heartedly into this one production (and use the other ten months to rest up for next year!).
