'Kiss Me, Kate'
"Kiss Me, Kate," the Americanized version of Shakespeare's
"Taming of the Shrew," premieres on Thursday at Parkview High
School. Arcado Community Theatre, the longest running community
theater in Gwinnett County, is putting on the play directed by Myrna
Feldman. The cast of 22 has been rehearsing since November, said
cast member Bryant Green of Buford.
"I was amazed by the talent in terms of singing and acting
that I saw here," Green said. "These are folks that have normal day
jobs but immerse themselves in their characters. It's
quite an evening of entertainment for just $6."
The production runs from Thursday through Sunday.
Shows start at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and
at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
